Founded by Rüştü Akın and Haydar Akın Brothers in 1956, Akın Tekstil has been playing a major role in the development of the Turkish Textile Industry for long years. 81% of the Company is owned by Akın Holding, Haydar Akın Holding and Akın Family. 19 % of the shares offered to the public are traded in the Istanbul Stock Exchange. Akın Tekstil that has an integrated product chain covering many links of textile industry consists of the following divisions; SPINNING, WEAVING, DYEING/FINISHING and READY-TO-WEAR.
The mission of Akın Tekstil conducting its operations in two factories in located Istanbul and Lüleburgaz is; “Manufacturing goods in quality standards with an enterprising, struggling, innovative and creative structure, in unity and cooperation, on the basis of the principles of honesty and customer satisfaction, using part of its profit for services dedicated to the society.”
Akın Tekstil enriches its fabric collections constantly as a result of design and R&D activities. The range of products of Akın Tekstil is listed as follows: 100%COTTON, POLYESTER/COTTON, POLYESTER/VISCONSE, COTTON/POLYAMIDE, COTTON/TACTEL, TENCEL, and LINEN.
85% of the fabrics, which are marketed as piece dyed, fibre dyed and yarn dyed, besides elasthane fibre containing alternatives, are exported directly to outstanding fabric brands of Western Europe and the USA or to their suppliers in various countries. The fabric capacity of the Company is 2 million meters/month. Fabrics are manufactured in its own factory located in Lüleburgaz with an 380.000 m2 outdoor and 110.000 m2 indoor area, which generates its own power by means of its co-generation facilities.
Akın Tekstil has become a specialist in “trousers” manufactured in its Istanbul garment factory operating since 1986. Its capacity of trousers is 500.000 pcs/month. The garment factory that exports 95% of the total production has a special place in the textile industry with its quality and service.
Both factories of Akın Tekstil have been accredited by Bureau Veritas Quality International with ISO 9001 certificate since 1998. The Company was awarded ECO-TEX 100 certificate by Hohenstein Institute in 1998 as well.

As a result of its constantly increasing success level, Akın Tekstil catches the lines of the day and provides customer services with various finishing options.
